Hustlrs isn't a pass or fail. You keep the exact share of your goal you complete, and only forfeit the part you miss. Fall a little short and you lose a little, not everything.

Where does my forfeit go?
It's the fee that keeps Hustlrs running. You're only ever charged for the share of your goals you didn't hit, and hitting everything costs you nothing. The forfeit is what makes the commitment real, it's the reason you actually show up.
How do I prove I showed up?
Every check-in is GPS-verified, you have to actually be at the place you pinned. In friends mode you also snap a photo at the spot, so your mates see the proof, not just a tick.
Is my card safe?
Yes. Payments run entirely through Stripe, one of the world's largest providers. Hustlrs never sees or stores your card details.
