Privacy Policy

Hustlrs is an accountability app where you put a deposit on completing your declared activities. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, username and display name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email from them.
• Locations: the places your activities are pinned to (for example your gym) — either the location you pin yourself, or one the host set for the hustle. These are stored and are visible to the other members of your hustles. When you check in, your device's location is used once, on your device, to confirm you're at the pinned place. We do not track your location in the background and we do not store your live location.
• Photos: profile pictures you choose, hustle pictures, and the activity photos you take as proof. Activity photos are visible to the members of the hustle you post them to.
• Activity data: the hustles you create or join, your declared activities and targets, check-ins, chat messages and reactions within your hustles.
• Payment data: your saved payment method reference and any forfeit charges. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. Hustlrs never sees or stores your card number.

What we use it for

• Running the product: matching you with your hustles, verifying check-ins against your pinned locations, counting activities and settling results.
• Charging forfeits through Stripe when a hustle ends. Only the share of your target you did not complete is charged.
• Notifying you about activity in your hustles (you can turn these off in Settings).

We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

• Supabase hosts our database, authentication and photo storage.
• Stripe stores your card and processes forfeit charges.
• Members of your hustles can see your display name, username, profile picture, activity photos, chat messages, progress, and the locations your activities are pinned to within that hustle.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. When you do, we permanently remove your profile, personal details, stats and profile photo, sign you out, and disable the login so it can never be used again.

One exception: activity photos and chat messages you shared into a hustle stay within that hustle's private history, attached to an anonymised "Deleted user" rather than to you. This is so the other members of that hustle keep an intact record of a week they took part in. These remain private to that hustle's members and are never made public. We also retain records we're legally required to keep, such as payment records held by our payment processor, Stripe.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict our processing of it. To exercise any of these rights, email us.
